I particularly like the composition tips!
And, if that's inspired you to spend more time in the garden, maybe you'll want to know more about a new project running...
The Good Life
Project
The Good Life Project is a therapeutic horticulture programme run by Pendle leisure trust and funded by the Big Lottery - Reaching Communities Programme.
The project aims to help adults who suffer from social isolation, gain confidence and become better integrated within their local community.
The project aims to improve mental well-being, physical health, reduce social isolation and bring people together while caring for our community allotment.
Activities take place in a quiet and peaceful setting on Hodge House Allotments, off Reedyford Road in Nelson and include growing fruit, vegetables and flowers, wood-working, art activities and general gardening.
The project is looking for participants who wish to improve their confidence and skills in a garden based setting, with a view to them getting them better integrated in their local community or returning to mainstream training/employment.
All new clients will be given a medical screening and suitability interview.
If you know of anyone who may benefit from this service please contact Joanne Dootson joanne.dootson@pendle.gov.uk
