Introduction to Textiles Session 6 Fabric beads

This session students learnt how to make these fabulous beads.  You can make these by cutting strips of coloured fabric and wrapping them around a skewer and adding a small amount of glue at the end of the strip of fabric to secure. (PVA glue is good as is a Pritt stick).  You can then put beads onto coloured wire and wrap the wire around the bead. Coloured fibres (e.g cotton, embroidery thread, wool) can also be wrapped around the bead.  Use a small amount of PVA (or glue that will dry transparent)  to secure fibres.  Enjoy.
