Tell Your Own Story Sessions 9,10

 In this session we explored creative lettering, adding text, fonts, types of pens.  The students have engaged in creative writing exercises throughout the course & so now was the time that they could copy their poems and insights into their books.

We also sewed our pages into our book covers.

We looked at other book and journal artists from books I had brought it.

Look on-line at images for creative journalling, you'll be amazed at how many there are. Once you have seen some of the work then have a go yourself, try not to start with an image in mind. Allow the image to unfold and become what it will.  None of the students planned any of their pages, creativity came from relaxing and having a spirit of enquiry- a "what would happen if...."attitude.  We told our fear of "getting it wrong"to take a holiday so that we could play & experiment.
