The Wizard Creative Writing Workshop is back...

A very special ‘Arts on Prescription’ course is coming up on Wednesday 12th December from 1-4pm. It’s also completely free. We ran this in May and participants came out of the workshop feeling more energetic, positive and ‘full of beans’!

We all get stressed or frustrated from time to time and doing something creative can be a great way to recharge your batteries.

Why not try our Creative Writing workshop with Dominic Berry?

The WIZARD creative writing workshop is a fun, well-supported, exciting and interesting way to realise your potential in writing and, if you'd like to, recite your own work. Poetry is a word that means different things to different people and throughout this workshop poet Dominic Berry will be looking at how simple, enjoyable poetic skills can be used to powerfully express your own thoughts, opinions and feelings. As well as writing, time is also spent exploring easy but effective ways to speak out your words with clarity and conviction. Based on exercises Dominic used to create his own WIZARD poetry play, this is a workshop open to complete beginners and poetry veterans alike- everybody has something to offer!
"When I arrived I was stressed, miserable and grumpy, and fairly sure that the evening was going to be a disaster. But you're such a helpful and positive chap (and I think you could talk anyone into anything!) that my mood just lifted all evening. You work so hard putting these events together and make sure that everyone has a great time. Thank you!"
Cathy, a participant in a Dominic Berry workshop
