Platform Gallery Intro to Textiles Last session

One person loved the jewellery making aspect of the course so much that she vowed never to buy jewellery again and from hence forward to make all her own.  Here we see two students looking at  the technical detail of her latest piece-see a close up of it below, Sue was so overwhelmed she needed to sit down with a cuppa.
Here is a butterfly created by another student and put into a frame ready for display or to be sold. Wow!
Diane's hand made beads including felt and paper beads.
Fabric brooch using felt, machine & hand embroidery with embellishments.
Highly colourful final piece made from hand dyed cotton with print, machine & hand embroidery embellished with handmade beads.
Hand painted and printed cotton with bondaweb applique and machine embroidery awaiting hand embroidery couching.
This is Sue's felt hanging that included machine and hand embroidery with handmade beads and bondaweb applique.
Finally this piece has been made by hand dyeing cotton, adding fabric with bondaweb, machine & hand embroidery.
The main feedback from the course was that students had learnt a lot of techniques and now had the confidence to experiment with the techniques to create more of  their own work.  Well done everyone, you all produced some fantastic pieces!
